SIGMOD 2014 Call For Workshop Proposals
Several workshops are held together with the annual SIGMOD/PODS conference. The deadline for the receipt of proposals for SIGMOD-sponsored workshops to be co-located with SIGMOD/PODS 2014 is:
Workshops will take place before the SIGMOD/PODS conference. In particular, workshops will generally take place on Sunday, June 22, with two taking place on Monday, June 23. Workshops that run for anywhere between half a day and a full day are possible.
The logistics of the workshops will be handled by the SIGMOD 2014 organization. Specifically, SIGMOD 2014 will take care of facilities, catering, and registration for all workshops. To enable this, breaks will be coordinated.
The organizers of accepted workshops are required to announce the workshop and call for papers, solicit submissions, conduct the reviewing process, and decide upon the final workshop program that must be published at least two weeks before the early registration deadline. In addition, each workshop must prepare its own proceedings, which must be submitted for inclusion in the ACM Digital Library. Publication of calls for papers and participation as well as eventual workshop reports in SIGMOD Record are encouraged.
Proposal evaluation criteria include the following: relevance to SIGMOD, scientific quality, perceived interest (e.g., previous submission counts), past performance (e.g., publication of the proceedings in the ACM DL), and overlap with other proposals. Notification of acceptance will occur by Monday, October 28, 2013.
Further inquiries should be sent to the SIGMOD 2014 Workshops Chair:
